It hasn’t been the smoothest sailing last year and a half for me. If you really know me you probably know how stretched thin I’ve felt most days. Trying to build a house. Trying to figure out what it is I’m good at and passionate about to pursue a career after ski racing. Trying to get on my bike and race as fast as I can when I can find a weekend off here and there. But besides being a papa, there’s nothing else I love more in this world than getting outside and doing my damndest to move fast through the mountains and hills, and none of those other distractions really matter when I remember that fact. It’s that feeling that grounds me and brings me back to a place where I can truly feel grateful for the life I live and the people I am lucky enough to share it with. I couldn’t continue to live this life without the incredible support from all those behind me.
