Almost done building the 2023 calendar. Had the opportunity to get the CF crew together and produce a Voltron image. Only took us 18 months to get it done and had 9/10ths of us there but it turned out perfectly. I am not a fan of shooting large group shots as it is a pain to set up and hard to get everyone in the photo where they can be seen evenly. Luckily we were able to stand on Upper Grand and shoot into Lower Grand to make this shot happen. As I was thinking about how to setup the cars, I opened my notes app and started drawing placements and ended up making this Tiki man which in turn would end up resembling Voltron. For those young cats who don’t know what Voltron is, it’s the original Power Rangers. I know a lot of you will get your feelings hurt by that but the truth hurts. People who know me, know that I am terrified of heights and I was shaking the entire time up there but had to get the job done. Glad it turned out. Thanks to the CF crew for making it out early morning even though I had no plans until the very last minute on time and location. The creative process does what it does.
