The Verdon Gorge is a river canyon located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of Southeastern France. It is about 25 km long and up to 700 metres deep. It was formed by the Verdon River. While a historic drought is hitting the whole of France, in certain regions of the Gorges du Verdon, the situation is critical. Water levels are at their lowest.
