This room features the work of 3 artists: Geumhyung Jeong, Tishan Hsu, and Elisa Giardina Papa, exploring human/non-human interactions. 1-2 Geumhyung Jeong presents a large table with parts of robots, prosthetics and other machines that she playfully activates in performances and actions recorded in videos 3-4 installation views 5-7 Tishan Hsu has famously said “I consider myself a cyborg. Google is my memory.” Here he presents new works that combine resin, silicone and alkyd to evoke disembodies humans, orifices, epidermis and screens. 8-9 Elisa Giardina Papa’s new video “U Scantu”: A Disorderly Tale takes place in the postmodern city of Gibellina Nuova and follows a group of “tuners” on customized bikes, hinting at the myths of the “donne di fora”, “women from the outside and beside themselves”.
