Rounding off a birthday weekend with lunch at one of my favourite dining spots @barbarylondon - if you havn’t tried this place yet I heartily recommend you do (thanks for introducing me to it @misterthomasjames). A North African Berber style menu with counter service it’s a fab,buzzy venue and the food is divine. Perfect end to what was an excellent birthday this year. I say that because am sure am not only one who sometimes finds birthdays loaded. The pressure to make the day special, the expectations that sometimes aren’t always attainable, heightened emotions that can go one way or the other - it can be a minefield 🤣. But this year was a good one. Lunch at @lemonia__primrose_hill with my mum and @cecilia.ccollins and @lucaacollins. This was a big family celebration spot when the kids were small and my sister and I both live in the neighbourhood, and it was so good to go back and relive some happy memories. Then, a properly fun dinner at home with some of my favourite people @lauraarison @melina_keays @lisamackintosh1 @andydcruzart #stevemackintosh - and welcome to the group #danjones 😍- and of course @tonymcollins. Maybe because we are heading out of London soon for our seaside adventure -temporarily or permanently who knows and that’s half the fun of it I guess - but it made this one feel extra special.
