When posting these pictures I simply cannot think of a caption so I thought I’d tell you all what we did today instead! Saint is having a horrible time with a new tooth coming through & by the time he woke up from his nap, the day was seeming rather long. In my long old experience of 15 months of being a mother, one thing I’ve learned is that when times are tough, to take them outside💡 I can’t lie, as I was getting him dressed I was thinking how the tears & emotional outbursts feel so much more comfortable to deal with at home than in public, but of course as usual whenever I listen to my motherly instinct it’s always right & as soon as we got out the car it was like the new tooth never even existed. He was in the loveliest mood ever, ready & willing to carry his little backpack around the Christmas decorations of our local garden centre, we had some lunch, and he even chose his annual Christmas bauble for the tree (which I vlogged of course!) I’ve really found he’s at an age now where every day is so much more fun & enjoyable when we aren’t cooped up inside. It’s a little harder now the weather is turning & although to non-parents, the daily cycle of choosing between a farm/shops/soft play/a park/a walk OR playing in the garden in wellies & a raincoat all day may not sound exciting, these are actually the best days of my life, witnessing Saint get such joy out of such simple activities. We got a happy meal for dinner on the way home & what started off as one of the more challenging days ended up as one of the loveliest 🫶🏼 what’s your number 1 favourite thing to do with your little ones? ✨
