Last month I was extremely lucky to arrive in Mara North Conservancy the day after the Serian Pride's new cubs were spotted for the first time. Needless to say, photographing them came to dominate the agenda most days! . Here the cubs are playing near their mother in the middle of a dense thicket. Lionesses often keep their cubs hidden and away from the rest of the pride when they are young. There was a curtain of vegetation between me and the lions but using a fast lens I was able to blur it out completely and the result is a soft, dream-like quality to the final images. .
