Four months ago, @mianne.chan and @thecardigankid took a chance on a crazy idea I had to pilot and develop a YouTube show for @glamourmag that would dive deep into the creative intricacies of the costume designs in some of our favorite TV shows and films. One transatlantic set and atelier visit c/o @netflix, a first (panicked) time playing DP, an interview conducted exclusively in French (thank you to my useless degree), many essential edits from brilliant colleagues, and an unknown # of baguettes later, the first video is finally here, starring Marylin Fitoussi, Costume Designer of ‘Emily in Paris’. It was a risk for the team to choose to feature the creatives — as opposed to the stars — that make these shows and films so wonderfully unique, and I’m immensely grateful we did. I hope 🤞 you’ll give it a watch so that we can continue to make this show happen. If you have even a passing interest in fashion or how the sausage gets made, so to speak, I think you’ll enjoy it.
