Thanks to Fischer Sports for running this piece on a trip I did to the Lofoten Islands with photographer Liam Doran in April. I have been working with Fischer since 1992. The first year they sponsored me, I blew my knee out on the first run of the season and when I called to tell them (so long ago that it may have been from a rotary dial phone) I would miss the season they told me that injuries happen in skiing and they were looking forward to working with me again the next season. At that point, I vowed to stay with Fischer my entire career. Fortunately for me they make incredible skis and boots so I landed with an amazing partner for my journey.
