White imbues her work with the ambiance of her heritage: the haunted Deep South's magnetism and the Romantic period's emotional intensity. Her work is, at times, both nostalgic and subversive. White graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in photography and studied in the European Honors Program in Rome, Italy. She currently lives and works in New York City. “My photography is a cathartic performance of the feminine subconscious. Utilizing allegorical portraiture and the symbolic potential of the physical form, I aim to express an inner world.
