Aloha everyone! I’m very excited to announce that the short film I choreographed and produced with @angiaxe will be premiering at Hawaiʻi international film festival on Nov. 4th! @hiffhawaii “A Tale of Two Sisters”, is inspired by the mo'olelo of Hi'iakaikapoliopele and the relationship between Hi'iaka and her older sister Pele. This film was an exploration into how we can connect with ancient stories to show how moʻolelo have continued importance in our lives. It also served as a means for my sister and I to navigate our own relationship/identities through this artistic outlet. I feel so blessed to be able to create alongside my beautifully talented sister, and the relationship between Pele and Hiʻiaka resembles many aspects of our relationship that we want to share with all of you.
