Asian Women are not a fetish. We are not a virus. We are not all the same. We will not be silenced, ignored, or erased. We will stand with and uplift our fellow sisters of color, understanding that our fights are not the same, but are all connected. We will no longer sit silently while our narrative gets hijacked and exploited, because silence can lead to misrepresentation, invisibility, and eventually erasure. We will be angry if we want to be (no matter how “unattractive” or “unlikeable” that makes us), we will not smile or shrink to make your ego feel comfortable, and no matter how much we are reduced, excluded, or undermined, we will continue to get up more times than we are pushed down.
