How did I travel to 80 countries at 29? {Save & Share} 1. Passport privilege! US passport holders can travel to 100+ countries without paying for expensive tourist visas! 2. Studying abroad/exchange programs! This is a great way to earn credits towards your education while exploring other countries. I did this in Spain during undergrad and Czech Republic during law school. 3. High income earner/financial privilege! I came out of law school at 25 y/o making 6 figures! Before that I had side hustles that supplemented my travel fund (Uber/Lyft). 4. Making travel a priority! This is most important! I don’t spend money on designer clothes or lavish products. Adapting to a minimalist lifestyle is the best way to save for travel! Experiences>things is the motto! 5. Taking advantage of paid time off as well as breaks in between jobs and school! You can have a full time job and still travel often! You just have to plan ahead and set boundaries! 6. I’ll have to acknowledge privilege again! I don’t owe anybody anything (debt-free) and I have no dependents (child-free, animal-free, single). I have the freedom to up and go when I please which I know is not an option for most people. If travel is on your heart you should follow authentic people who have similar backgrounds that make it work! Some family travelers I love are @themomtrotter , @simplycyn, @thetravelingchild 7. Brand partnerships, hotel collabs, press trips! I’ve been landing collabs since I was at 2k followers 2 years ago! Being a travel content creator obviously helps fund my trips! 8. Solo travel! If I waited to travel with others my travel options would be extremely limited. There’s a lot more I can add but I think that’s a decent summary!
