10 things I wish I knew about breastfeeding... what else do I need to add to this list? Comment below ⬇️ 1. Colostrum builds your baby’s immune system 2. Your baby is put on your boobs straight after birth 3. It doesn’t come naturally to everyone 4. Pumping can be necessary! It doesn’t mean you’ve failed 5. You may struggle with milk supply. You can also produce more in one boob 6. You may need to top up your child with formula (& that’s ok) 7. It’s exhausting feeding constantly! Did you know a year of breastfeeding is 1,800 hours, nearly the same as a 40 hour work week 8. Nobody knows what child was breastfed & who wasn’t 9. Unexpected Anxiety & judgement breastfeeding in public 🙄 it’s not easy to overcome this, but boobs have been sexualised for such a long time, people don’t know how to behave around them. They’re food!!! 10. Breastfeeding mimics menopause. ue to the production of the milk-producing hormone, prolactin, temporarily blocking estrogen production, which keeps your estrogen levels low. No wonder our hormones are all the shot aswell
