Summary of Part1: How To Take A Cling Film Head Shape.
In this class you will learn how to prepare long hair to go under a wig by doing a process called ‘wrapping’ the hair using specific tools and kit. You will learn the best way to hide long hair so that the shape of the head looks natural and you have a good hair preparation to pin the wig into later. This is a vital step in wig application in general.
Then you will learn how to sketch out the hairline along the entire head and face in preparation for the cling film head shape. Learn to lay the cling film in origami fashion and wrap the head to take the head shape and secure it down using cello tape. Finish off the process by learning how to take all the measurements and photos so as to continue to the next step, creating a replica of your artist’s head.
Summary Part 2: Creating a Bespoke Head Block
In this class you will learn how to replicate your artist’s head and create their own bespoke head block according to your measurements, so that the wig can be built to their exact measurements. Learn to do this using cotton wool, cello tape, colourful paper and a sharpie. You will now be ready to start building your wigbase from scratch.
