My sweet sweet little gremlin boy, Gootie crossed the rainbow bridge after 17 good long years today. My 19th birthday present named after the secret language we had with our dad growing up... after my dad said he would cover all vet bills if I did (he did not 😂). I would tote him to bars, clubs, parties and on every road trip, invited or not. He lived through a dozen snuck rotisserie chickens, slept with roosters, visited 7 national parks, and was known to steal your Mary Jane. My shadow and sleeping buddy every night. The menice and escapee of every household he’s ever known, and wanted by every neighbor. A son to every friend Ive ever had, and the smallest dog I’ve ever seen swim in the gulf, the lake, and any pool he could get near. He was a good good boy who lived a good long life and I’m just so thankful that I got to be his mommy. Squeeze and kiss your old crusty dogs tonight 🩷
