So your kiddo wants to be a model! Here is what you have to do ๐๐ผ
1. Before you say yes, make sure it's realistic. Where do you live? If you do not live in a city/state that would be a prominent market
(i.e. LA or NY) temper expectations before you move forward. Are you in Dallas? Ok, there are some kid's jobs shooting there- not
often, not a ton & there is a lot of competition, but it's possible. Likely not busy. The same goes for places like Chicago or Miami.
2. Once youโre past that hurdle, start researching kidโs modeling agencies in your market. Take great snapshot of your kiddos and submit them to those agencies that look good to you. Usually, you can find how to do that on their website.
3. Now that your kiddo is signed & ready to roll, you'll have to be requested for a casting. This means a client has seen your child's photos and is interested in learning more so they'll invite them in for a casting (interview of sorts) or ask for a self-tape.
4. Next, your kiddo will have to book or confirm the job. This means the client has decided your kiddo is the right kid for the
project!
Congratulations- your child is a working model ๐๐ผ
