Hey Hi Podcast Stuff Report: Part 2 of GO ASK ALICE w/ @kirstenvangsness is up this week and I am delectably in the thick of reading “Unmask Alice” by @rickemerson, which is the riveting revelation of how the Mormon housewife/“youth counselor”/homophobe/professional prevaricator Beatrice Sparks cooked up the original “diary” out of whole cloth, along with her other fictions, “VOICES” and “Jay’s Journal,” sort of (the real story behind “JJ” is exceptionally sad). I serendipitously learned about Emerson’s book on my beloved @yourewrongaboutpod after I had already scheduled KV to cover the GAA TVM, & the book came out after we had already recorded unfortunately, so there could be a whole other episode about this 📕 alone.
