Growing up, the 4th of July was my favorite holiday. The city would do a parade and fireworks, and my extended family would come together from far and wide. We’d eat brownies and noodle salad and, dang if it didn’t feel like the reason for the season. This year, the 4th of July feels a little harder to celebrate. But summer is not cancelled, and finding joy with friends and family is more important than ever. So, in the modern spirit of America, as the wheels of capitalism roll onward, here we are!
