Just spent four days in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia with my 108 yr old great Aunt Ruth. Always a little jaunt to get here but always worth it. This time no rental cars in Halifax so I flew to Portland Maine, rented car drove to Bar Harbor then took ferry over to Yarmouth. In a small village near there, my ancestors from my mother’s side are buried there. Legend has it that great great grandfather Randall was shanghaied from England back in the days when that was normal and allegedly escaped before porting in Maine. 😂👍🏼🇬🇧😵‍💫. If you e ever spent any time in an assisted living facility, you’d know that it’s the little things that mean a lot. Getting visitors, getting out and going to dinner, and just having a listening ear there to hear about your life. I love you auntie!!!!
