There is a common belief that if you're with an agency that represents a lot of children that means your child might work less than they would at an agency with a smaller board. Let me explain to you why that's not necessarily true. Agency A represents 500 Kids. Agency B represents 1000 Kids. Agency C represents 10 Kids. When a client reached out for projects, they're typically not ONLY reaching out to Agency A, B, or C, rather, they're reaching out to A, B, AND C. Why would they do that you ask? For the same reason that some in-person castings are big- because they want to see as many options as they can before making up their mind about who to book. So let's say your kiddo is new. You're worried they'll get lost on a big board so you sign them with Agency C thinking you'll have more opportunities that way. But here's the thing- even if your agency only represents 10 people, your child is still being submitted in a pile of 1600 kids- not 10 kids. Jobs that are meant for your kiddo will find your kiddo. & while I- a very inpatient, persistent to the point of being annoying person who would run through wild fires barefoot & more for my kid, understands that need to look for a why- "Why aren't people seeing that my child is the most amazing kid the universe has ever created"- you're not always going to get one. There isn't always someone at fault. Sometimes, it's just not meant to be while others times it's absolute kismet. xx
