7 years ago, this exact summer period me & 3 friends took a bus from Victoria station to France to attend Paris Fashion Week men’s for the first time. We wasn’t rich. Our bus ticket was around £30 each and luckily I had a hotel complimentary stay for 2 nights via PAUSE. Not realising hotels can only accommodate 2 persons 😂… they still hosted us. When we checked out and forgot to sort our remainder stays in Paris, we booked a hostel that only had mattresses on the floor. We did what we could do at the time and made the most of the opportunity being at PFW. We didn’t get much shows, but that’s how it is at the beginning. Today I am so emotional even writing this but fashion week just reminds me to just keep going and remember how far you’ve come. Covid blocked us season after season but this fashion week was a whole situ. It was so special to celebrate with industry friends, my talents and my amazing team. I am so grateful for life right now and just wanted to share this story to let you if you don’t get invited, invite yourself. The doors won’t come down if your not knocking. One love ❤️
