17 days until my deadline for Last Call at the Local! This book has been slow work, but honestly, I think that has more to do with developing a healthier relationship with my writing than anything else. My favorite part of the writing process is when I have most of the big stuff figured out and get to add more nuance and depth throughout. It’s a slow process. Sometimes I spend 15 minutes trying to rework one line. But I really enjoy adding that sort of detail. I still have some chapters that are first drafts, but most of what I have has been revised more times than I can count. I’m excited to share Raine and Jack with you in a little under a year!
