Pikes Peak is done and I leave with mostly negative feelings if I'm being completely transparent. Coming into the race this year the issues with covid had been giving me some breathing issues still. The best idea would have probably been to sit this one out. The stubbornness mixed with FOMO wouldn't allow me to miss the opportunity to race with such a stellar class of runners so, I ran. Covid hit me at a bad time and that's life. To lineup with these fellas was what my heart desired, maybe a little childish but we live and we learn! The negativity has since diminished with the simple warm welcome and kisses from my kids when I got home 🤗 I needed that after today.
