This 1949 Martin 000-18 was given to a family member, by his highschool girlfriend’s father, in the mid-‘60s. The frets were played down to nothing, it had a giant hole in the side, the top was coming off, and it was held together with packing tape and a bandaid. “Take this. Maybe you can do something with it...” It was ultimately relegated to the closet for the next 50-odd years, until it resurfaced during a recent move.
