“Your life is not defined by the approval of others, but of God. Live for an audience of one.” Galatians 1:10 Jesus did not promise an easy journey, He promised it would be worthwhile. Living for the Lord takes perseverance, strength, courage, and confidence. The enemy tries to steal, kill and destroy anyone who walks freely in the way of the Lord. My journey to where I am now was quite the opposite of an easy experience but I rest assured knowing that it was worthwhile. It was within Him and His faithfulness that I found my identity as a daughter of my father in Heaven. I have not always had this hunger and desire to live for the Lord, just last year the devil had its firm grasp on me. I was drowning in sin but Jesus was the calm in my storm. I struggled with self worth but Jesus said “You are all together beautiful, my darling there is no flaw in you” Song of Songs 4:17 I struggled with worldly desires but Jesus said “watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” Mathew 26:41 I struggled with feeling like I was past the point of forgiveness but Jesus said “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9 Jesus loves us and knows us by name. Thank you Jesus for your unfailing love, faithfulness, protection, guidance, being my Lord and Savior and finding me right where I was and restoring me.
