the first thing you hear on this album is me tapping some bongos saying “uhh whatever’s cool” - makes me laugh every time. mostly funny because nothing could be further from the attitude that went into making it! i’m so grateful to forrest for bringing me into his world, and allowing me to help bring his vision to life. i turned another year older last week, and couldn’t help feeling so damn lucky that i’m still able to get together with folks that i love and respect to make music & talk about life & laugh & try to make sense of the world & communicate in the only way i’ve ever been effectively able to (see? run on sentence). making this album definitely reminded me why i started playing in the first place. it’s out today; hope you’ll give it a spin! here’s a little collection of stuff on my phone from the recording process
