As an art student, Piko Subiyakto believes that reliability and functionality come first when choosing a bitter for footwear. During the wardrobe test process, @marcellohizky and I talked about finding a pair of shoes that would fit The Forger profile whilst keeping the aesthetic and the function right. We were ought to find a pair of shoes that Piko shall abusively wear in his studio as a part of his ‘uniform’ when forging a painting. We ended up choosing Clarks Wallabee, a classic footwear silhouette as seen on The Verve’s 1997 Urban Hymns album cover worn by Richard’s Ashcroft. These are my personal pair I bought for $5 at a store in the US and was never worn because I personally dislike the colour. Customised by Ameng and team, these shoes have now become my personal favourite and (hopefully) will stay as Piko’s wardrobe guidance.
