Go check out my installation called Códigos Interdimensionales at Museos del Banco Central in downtown San José. This piece is part of Hilo Vibrante: rituales artísticos contemporáneos, a group show consisting of a well curated group of Costa Rican artists. English Brief: Códigos Interdimensionales, through lines, shapes, optics and glyphic language, activates a portal of communication with our reality and other ones that we cannot perceive easily by the naked eye. This connection with other realms of existence honors nature, its cycles and habitants through the use of symbolism, abstraction and hidden messages. The human race has been eloquent through the centuries by depicting images in order to communicate, alluding to feelings, beliefs and actions of their reality. This series of emblematic codes is a set of insignias and diverse hybrid spirits that are in charge of maneuvering through the incorporeal world. Each one represents an assistant energy within an established system, turning into intermediaries between cosmic forces and human sensibility. These figures establish a relationship with the subconscious levels and foster the use of imagination of the viewer that contemplates them.
