This is my recent installation consisting of 86 unique hand cut and painted emblematic glyphs. It’s made up of 9 rows across 4 meters and 6.6 meters tall. It will be on display for a year at the Museos Banco Central in downtown San José, Costa Rica. Códigos Interdimensionales, con sus líneas, formas, ópticas, y lenguaje glífico, activa un portal de comunicación de nuestra realidad con otras que no podemos percibir a simple vista. Esta conexión con otros planos de existencia honra la naturaleza, sus ciclos y habitantes por medio del simbolismo, la abstracción y sus mensajes secretos. El ser humano ha sido elocuente durante siglos por medio de la elaboración de imágenes para comunicarse, aludiendo a sentimientos, creencias y acciones de su realidad. Esta serie de códigos emblemáticos, es un conjunto de insignias y espíritus diversos e híbridos involucrados en el manejo del mundo incorpóreo. Cada uno representa una energía auxiliar dentro de un sistema establecido, volviéndose intermediarios entre las fuerzas cósmicas y la sensibilidad humana. A su vez, estas figuras, entablan relación a niveles subconscientes y alientan a usar la imaginación de la persona que los contempla. Códigos Interdimensionales, through lines, shapes, optics and glyphic language, activates a portal of communication with our reality and other ones that we cannot perceive easily by the naked eye. This connection with other realms of existence honors nature, its cycles and habitants through the use of symbolism, abstraction and hidden messages. The human race has been eloquent through the centuries by depicting images in order to communicate, alluding to feelings, beliefs and actions of their reality. This series of emblematic codes is a set of insignias and diverse hybrid spirits that are in charge of maneuvering through the incorporeal world. Each one represents an assistant energy within an established system, turning into intermediaries between cosmic forces and human sensibility. These figures establish a relationship with the subconscious levels and foster the use of imagination of the viewer that contemplates them.
