this is happening in my life right now..... Some years ago I had this vision that I was around 50 years old wearing a colorful kaftan with long earrings on an island remote from my home country playing to my friends at some sort of special gathering...that vision is what drove me to start taking intro level dj classes in 2019 to hold myself accountable for such a moment..... Parallel to that I have been throwing themed events in Costa Rica for 8 years now and have always been a very musical person... During the pandemic I had a creative musical block and did not pick up my x1 and z1 from traktor once until earlier this year (I was also consumed by my paintings, installation and fashion work).... Now things have been opening up and so has my music channel... Earlier this year I started learning to play pioneer cdjs so that I could expand and play at my parties and eventually other parts of the world and different scenarios.... Party attendees and friends kept wondering why I wasn’t playing on my very own parties.... Recently I took a jump and started playing and it has been a very rewarding process - I am still very new but very driven and happy that I get to share the spirit of music, dance and celebration with others I hope I keep refining within this art form and give honor to such a fine craft 📸: @arbolclub
