Based in Minneapolis and Chicago, visual artist Clarence Morgan's "Linear Fictions" were born out of the uncertainty of 2020. When a short trip to Northern California became an unexpected seven month stay, Morgan created this series of more than 130 small drawings, six of which were recently acquired by the Walker. The drawings were kept small and simple by necessity, using the time to reflect amidst the reality of the pandemic and worldwide calls for justice and change.
