I lost my dad on Thursday morning. To say this has been the hardest week of my life would be a grave understatement. To know my dad, was to love my dad. He was the funniest, sharpest man with the quickest wit. The salt of the earth. A mischief maker, instigator and troublemaker in the best way possible. Effortlessly cool. He could charm the pants off of a snake. He lit up every room he entered and was the absolute life of every party. Hockey was his religion. Watching and playing. He was born into a pair of skates. He had the best taste in music with a special regard for The Eagles. He loved the sunshine, golfing, cold beer, laughing with friends and family, and most recently - becoming a grandpa. He was the best friend, husband, brother, father, uncle, cousin and beyond. Everyone’s favorite. The world has lost a lot of its sparkle these past few days but I will cherish the parts of me that are him forever. I will never not miss him.
