Epic 24 hours in Birmingham launching our #togetherforhealth campaign for Goal 3 Good Health & Well-being and the 2022 Commonwealth Games and so touched by the people and energy here. Birmingham is one of the most diverse cities in the UK with amazing history, gorgeous architecture, a beautiful network of canals and a vibrant art and music scene. To welcome a sporting event which makes space for tiny island nations and giants alike reflects the rich diversity of the people of Birmingham and they feel that. We have partnered with @thisisreckitt and @dettol.uk to support the work of @thehygienebank; an incredible volunteer run charity that we discovered last year that works to provide families all across the UK with essential personal hygiene products who are unable to afford them. Reckitt and Dettol are generously donating a wide variety of products to over 300,000 families through the campaign. More and more people are finding themselves on the breadline and living in poverty in these times with the cost of living rising so quickly. When we first met them they explained that the first things that get cut when people find themselves in difficulty and with no money coming in is personal care products - we are talking deodorant, toothpaste, nappies, tampons, cleaning detergent - things that so many of us take for granted - which then quickly leads to other physical and mental health issues...
