Christmas as a queer person. I personally used to love Christmas so much. Not going to lie that with/after my coming out that changed. I still like it, but the magic somehow seems gone, and I over the next years, I will try to bring it back. It is totally okay if you feel different about that. Being at home getting misgendered, deadnamed & constantly having to justify yourself in front of people from who you naturally want acceptance & love is triggering, stressful & feels horrible. I am sorry if you are going through this or something similar or it just being a triggering time for you out of different reasons. We do not have to romanticise this time. It can be beautiful for sure & it is also beautiful to find completely new ways of spending these days, even by saying to not spending them at all or grieving. Do whatever feels best for you.
