2016 was truly the busiest year of my life. That year, my husband and I got married. We returned to Taiwan to take our wedding photos, I graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in China with a master’s degree in oil painting, and held my graduation exhibition. I then moved back to Taiwan, leaving behind Beijing, where I had lived on my own for seven years. After getting married in Taiwan, we flew straight to California to begin a brand-new life. 2016 was a major turning point in my life. If I hadn’t moved to the United States back then, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
