This weekend should have been Lost & Found 2020, I’ve tried my best to sum up why L&F is just so special in 10 photos (impossible): - 1 - The welcome party on the Thursday night was originally a ‘warm up’ for the festival, it’s quickly turned into probably the most iconic night of the weekend, with artists taking control over the CO2 canons and a traditional Maltese fireworks show to round the night off. 2 - It’s called @anniemac Presents for a reason, anywhere you turn Annie’s there doing the rounds. Never wanting to miss a ‘you had to be there moment’ at her festival and definitely a host who loves to get stuck right in. 3 - An outtake that I don’t think has ever been posted as it was raining, but I spent the best part for 30 minutes in the same spot waiting for a lightning bolt to hit just right as a storm sat on top of Uno in 2019. 4 - Dance-offs and conga lines. It’s not a L&F without a signature @artwork_is_up_to_something set (or 5) over the weekend. 5 - Castle parties are another staple of L&F, I don’t think there’s another festival in the world that’s used 3 different castles over the years. 6 - Back in 2016 @disclosure headlined the Castle Party, I managed to borrow a couple of crowns from the crowd, some call it my crowning achievement. 7 - Hands down my favourite set over the last 5 years was @kolschofficial playing at the red castle in 2017. The sun slowly dropping behind the crowd whilst he played the perfect hands in the air eyes closed set. 8 - @cafedelmarmalta hosts most of the day parties, a beautiful infinity pool by the sea with sunsets to boot. 9 - @unomalta plays host at night, it’s had a few reconfigurations over the years to accommodate just how big L&F has grown. Stages are just a few steps apart unlike other festivals. 10 - If the sound of L&F had to be summed up in a single track it would have to be Techno Disco Tool by @melladee_ . There’s hardly a DJ that hasn’t reached for it during a set. Ryan’s played every year in Malta it was lovely to see the track get the fireworks moment in 2019. I’ve missed seeing my L&F family who make up the festival but now look forward to L&F 2021! 🤞🏼
