Created by Note Design Studio - a collective of Swedish architects and graphic and product designers - Flaggerdoot's La Chance Tembo Stools combine a wood and metal body with a solid cork seat. The designers drew their inspiration from African tam-tam drums; Tembo means elephant feet in Swahili. Tembo was originally part of an exhibition held by Note Design Studio as a creative stunt. The concept was to produce, in real life, the various doodles that the members of the group had in their notebooks, however crazy they might be.
