“Cloth and Pomegranates” illustrated in procreate, based on elements from “Pomegranates, Apples, Haws and Grapes in a Landscape” (by Luis Egidio Meléndez) and “Still Life with Pie and Silver Ewer” (by Willem Claesz Heda). the stains were also made with the procreate hb pencil, taken directly from a physical painting that i’ve been working on. i have been treating this series as a practice for the most part, recontextualizing bits and pieces from master paintings that inspire me (visual sampling). i am greatly enjoying the process so far. it’s been good to act with more of a carefree sense of creativity.
