Rhinebeck Client Projects 🤩⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ After finishing up our first two @upstatemodernist houses Rhinebeck, @emilyonthewings and I thought it would be a great idea to send the wonderful @shelbypine to capture some of the progress. The plants are taking quite well despite the summer heat, and here is a quick breakdown of what you’re seeing in each shot:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1 - Edible raised bed garden⁣⁣ We custom built these raised beds out of cedar and laid out a flat plane of pea gravel. The irrigation is hidden underneath the gravel and the summer veggies are loving their unobstructed sunlight ☀️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2 - Foundation plantings⁣⁣ Foundation plantings are anything planted alongside of the house, and here we used a combo of dwarf trees and perennial flowers. These echinacea are just starting to bloom and they key is choosing a plant palette that has multiple blooms throughout each season 🌸🌺 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3 - River birch trees⁣⁣ At this house, birch trees reign supreme. There is a large cluster of them growing naturally right near the house, so we planted a few others to accentuate the natural landscape. We also used natural shale as decoration since we kept digging it up during the job 😂⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4 - Accent tree⁣⁣ On any landscaping project, I love adding a signature tree or two that will provide a dramatic pop of color. This forest pansy redbud is a beauty and will look ahhhmazing when it flowers next spring 😍⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 5 - Monastic raised bed garden⁣⁣ This final project is still under construction but we custom built four L shaped beds and will have a sitting area in the center. We also planted a perennial circle around the seating area and a small orchard around the perimeter of the beds.
