I was deathly sick as I walked into detox in Palm Springs, California. I had relapsed 3 weeks before. I lost 45 pounds, I had barely slept, had very little food or water. My body and mind were deteriorating. Then someone laced the drugs I was doing with something much stronger with the intentions of hurting me. The mental, physical and emotional pain I experienced was beyond any pain I had ever felt. I was in the worst psychosis imaginable. My parents had to take care of me because I didn’t know who I was or where I was. Today is one of those days where I am just absolutely mind blown where I am in life. To have found recovery is one of my biggest blessings. To be able to travel the world and see it through sober eyes and a clear mind to be a husband and father, to be a better professional with financial stability and to be able to do all of these things sober is priceless. If you’re that hopeless, broken person that’s walking into detox or in psychosis or suffering from addiction in any way like I was... just know that you can find a freedom beyond anything you ever imagined. Stop wasting time.. you don’t want to lose your opportunity to be great
