What's coming up for 2023? 🚊 The Regional Connector! Notice something different in this photo? That's right, the A, E and L lines are going to merge into two lines, one that runs between East LA and Santa Monica and another that runs between Azusa and Long Beach. The two lines will share platforms at three new DTLA stations as well as at 7th/Metro and Pico for easy transfers. The bottom line: Faster rides to and through DTLA for light rail riders. We know you’re eager for the opening date, and we'll announce it as soon as we can! 🚍 MORE BUS PRIORITY LANES! We're working with our friends at @ladotofficial to build more bus lanes to help our buses glide through traffic. Pictured here are the recently completed Alvarado St lanes between 7th and Sunset. Next up are bus-only lanes (plus protected bike lanes) on Venice between National and Inglewood and on La Brea between Sunset and Olympic (eventually extending south to Coliseum St). 😎 In the coming weeks you'll be seeing more Metro Ambassadors on our system. They're here to support you on Metro buses, trains and stations, to connect you to resources and report maintenance and safety concerns. Metro Ambassadors are one part of our multilayer plan to improve public safety – with a team that includes security & law enforcement, homeless and mental health outreach workers and cleaning crews.
