WASBE 2024 Korea has come and gone. What a whirlwind. To start, the music. Wow, just wow. Such high caliber of music was presented this week and I felt honoured to be apart of it. From opening ceremonies to rehearsals to concerts to the closing ceremonies, everything and everyone was absolutely incredible! Watching so many ensembles from around the world come together in one place to share the music that they love is truly a testament to the beauty, richness, and value of music! The people on this trip really are what made it special. From every moment sitting in rehearsals, watching concerts, eating lunch, or going exploring it was never a dull moment. Sharing music together was an honour, but learning from each and every person that was in WASBE’s Youth Wind Orchestra (WYWO) was such a treat. Definitely built long lasting friendships this trip. Lastly, but certainly not least...KERI!! Thank you for taking the leap of faith with me and traveling to the other side of the world together. It was an adventure neither of us will be soon to forget. When do we book our next flights? ✈️
