Your relationship with food and your body, is like any relationship... it gets better when you stop trying to control it, and start trying to understand it. I spent years in a tug of war with my body. Following trends, fearing carbs, fasting and tracking calories. But no matter what I tried, I always felt bloated, inflamed, and exhausted. I seemed "healthy" on the outside, but internally, I was completely dysregulated. Everything changed when I started applying what l'd learned in university studying Chinese Medicine and dietary therapy. I finally stopped outsourcing my choices to what the traditional wellness world told me to do. TCM taught me to align my body with seasons, cycles, warmth, nourishment and balance. It gave me a new perspective on wellness. One that's aligned with energy and restoration instead of restriction and punishment. Now l eat in a way that supports my nervous system, hormones, and digestion, and I actually feel good after meals. I trust my body more than ever before and I finally feel at home in it. Here's what l'd offer, as an acupuncturist, if you want a better connection with food: Eat with the seasons (and your cycle) Prioritize warm, cooked meals and avoid cold drinks (especially in colder months) Support your digestion Incorporate TCM superfoods like goji berries, jujube, ginger & bone broth Make eating a ritual. Slow, intentional and never distracted If you want to learn everything about how I manifested my dream body and fell in love with myself. I have a free training through the 🔗 on my profile. And tell me in the comments: what's one thing you've changed about the way you eat that made everything better? #tcm #wellnesstips #womenshealth
