It’s almost impossible to explain what it ‘feels’ like to be paralysed, but this is as close as it gets 👆🏻 If you’re able, try it - let me know what you think? Feels weird, right? It’s #SpinalCordInjuryAwarenessMonth this month and all over social media information is being shared to educate and raise awareness of how #SCI impacts a person’s life. For me, the loss of my bladder, bowel and sexual function was and is the worst consequence of my SCI but, and I must stress this, there have been some extraordinary positives to come from my SCI and I’m grateful for all of them. I wrote about my personal experience with SCI in my book, “Driving Forwards” (link in bio). As promised, here are some accounts to follow to find out more: @roll.with.cole @petereed @wheelsnoheels_ @backuptrust @spinal_injuries @reevefoundation @jbone89 (a next level babe) @sophjbutler (not so much SCI related content but a wonderful person to follow regardless!) @spinalcordinjuriesaustralia @rachelles_wheels @henryfraser0 (as above, an incredible man and awesome mouth painter) @edjackson8 (a quad/man like no other!) @adapttoperform (brill fitness inspo) @adaptdefy @chelsiehill (her and her squad of dancers the @rollettes_la inc. @ohsamnicole) @christina_vithoulkas (this chick is INCREDIBLE) @spinalcordinjurylifestyle *If I have forgotten anyone, please tag them below. In the U.K., every 4 mins someone has a spinal cord injury. It’s high time we understood what this means.
