The Mugler Alien Fragrance campaign from 2008 has had such a magical hold on me for so many years and I’ve always wanted to pay homage to it some how, from the hair to the make up to the Incredibly beautiful model I’ve always been so in love, So I reached out to @lloydsimmondsmakeup who did the original make up and we spoke about products and the day it was shot and that alone filled me with so much magic, so I planned my make up, asked @marcoswigs to recreate the hair which was originally done by @profredpavard and @hannahfurnessphoto to shoot the look and here we are. I had a lovely chat with the original model @felicitygilbert1 who spoke of the day of the shoot and how incredible Manfred was and I knew I had to pay homage but in away that showed how I see beauty and what I would’ve wanted to look like if I was the model in the campaign.
