A picture is worth a thousand words ✨ Today we’re celebrating #WorldPhotoDay with photography pioneer Roger Fenton 📷 In 1852, the Museum began its association with Fenton. He was initially engaged to photograph cuneiform tablets, but that soon developed into taking pictures of other objects. To provide him with a suitable space in which to work, a glass building was built on the Museum’s roof, named Photographic House.
