Please give @anisaolufemi a warm St. Louis welcome as they spend a month in the city reflecting on the Black pastoral in the arts as the inaugural fall arts writers resident.
Olufemi is a Black American, Washington, D.C. based curator, writer, and cultural worker of Afro-Trinidadian descent. “Acknowledging and deepening our relationships with the lands that have mothered us...” — this is the vision of a Black Pastoral that Olufemi calls forth through their curatorial work and community activations. To date, Olufemi has mounted exhibitions in Washington D.C. and Chicago, and presented research at the Pratt Institute, the University of Oregon, Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Stony Island Arts Bank.
