Today we laid my best friend to rest. Everette Roman Jackson, Slim, You’ve gone up to Heaven but you managed to leave so much love behind. You were loved by so many and I understand why, because I am one of them. You weren’t just my best friend.. you were my therapist, my big brother, my shoulder to cry on, my listening ear, my drinking buddy, and so much more. I want to thank you for all of the memories, laughs, but most importantly I want to thank you for being the person I knew I could go to for anything. You knew when I was upset and would do anything to make it better. You never failed to put a smile on my face. I will hold the memories we made close to my heart forever. Slim was the type of guy to pray before he ate and always call to check in on his family. He was the most genuine and kindhearted person I’d ever met. He always had the biggest smile and his laugh was so contagious you couldn’t help but laugh with him.. even if it was at you. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, none of us were, but his memory will live on with us forever. #everettejackson 🕊🤍
