Jim Brickman was my first true piano inspiration after my dad passed away. He left behind a “Jim Brickman: Picture This” piano book that I learned all the songs from. 23 years later, I get an IG DM from @therealjimbrickman himself telling me that he’s a new fan of my work and asking for my phone number. He called and asked if I’d like to record a new Christmas song he wrote and to invite @alyssugh to be a part of it. We said yes, of course, and we’re going to be part of his Christmas album!!! This is my mom’s reaction as I called her while she was at work today hahaha.
